Tempranillo 2023
Lost Oak Winery

As of 2015, Tempranillo was the fourth most widely planted winemaking grape in the world, proving its popularity. The Texas High Plains is a particularly good region for growing Tempranillo as it has a similar climate to Spain. Great care was taken when it came to selecting the barrels that make up this exceptional wine. Choosing barrels that were of exceptional quality and extra aging has added flavors of plum, bramble berry, mulberry, and baking spice. Plum lingers on the finish with a hint of leather and gentle tannins.
Pair with smoked gouda and plum crostini, chorizo-filled dates wrapped in bacon, chips and salsa, carnitas, carne asada, Korean barbecue, and baked potatoes with pulled pork or dark chocolate.
